<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.wildhogradio.net/2020/10/Kassi-Ashton-Partners-With-Harley-Davidson.html" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img data-original-height="550" data-original-width="1000" height="352" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgb31iCCB6wzADHdjrDDEN561RU-2h9Pk2asm_J8xjswILx_GEF2PRyE114p2XF4-CHr4sq8XNdEcVXBfEJSLDlnWP5_InakwMH0iUj1qupBMIG_s6mFa2gNbpuA5dg_Pyc_jFdxa1lPi2-/w640-h352/image.png" width="640" /></a></div><br /><br />
The track "Black Motorcycle" captured the company’s imagination when Ashton performed it for several employees in Milwaukee Wisconsin last year.<i> “I grew up on motorcycles and to me they’ve always felt like freedom mixed with a tiny bit of discipline,”</i> she says.<i> “Part of what drew me to motorcycles, was not just that Dad always had one and Mom was always on the back of one – it was that when Dad would pick me up on the back of his motorcycle, it was this freeing moment to breathe.”
</i><br />

<br />
<br />
Speaking about the song, Kassi says of “Black Motorcycle”:<i> “I’ve always in my head kind of considered my music motorcycle country. I like music with weight at the bottom. That’s freeing and moving, but still sits down here”. “Part of my love for that being gritty and bottom-ended comes from the sound of a motorcycle. When you sit on it and it rumbles through you – I want the music to do the same thing.”</i>

<br />
<br />
The band, one of the best-selling rock acts of all time, was handed victory after the U.S. Supreme Court declined to take up the case, meaning that a March 2020 decision by a U.S. appeals court in Led Zeppelin’s favor will stand.
<br />

<br />
Lead singer Robert Plant and guitarist Jimmy Page had been accused in the six-year long case of lifting the riff - one of the best-known openings in rock music - from a song called “Taurus”, written by the late Randy Wolfe of the U.S. band Spirit.
<br />
<br />
Wolfe, who performed as Randy California, drowned in 1997, and the case was brought by a trustee for his estate. It has been one of the music industry’s most closely watched copyright cases, potentially exposing Plant and Page to millions of dollars in damages.
<br />

<br />
<br />
Led Zeppelin was the opening act for Spirit on a U.S. tour in 1968, but Page testified in a 2016 jury trial in Los Angeles that he had not heard “Taurus” until recently.
<br />
<br />
The Los Angeles jury found the riff they were accused of stealing was not intrinsically similar to the opening chords of “Stairway to Heaven.”
<br />
<br />
Lawyers for Wolfe’s estate and for Led Zeppelin could not immediately be reached for comment on Monday.<br />

<br />
<br />
Measuring 1.08 m (42.5 inches) in height, this lengthy hairdo can easily be spotted from a distance. <i>"My favorite thing about the mohawk is just the rarity of it,"</i> Joseph said. <i>"I’ll admit that peoples’ reactions are pretty priceless too. I’m 6’1 tall, and my mohawk is pushing 4 feet now."</i><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b>"Doors aren’t over 7’ tall, ceilings 9’, and cars are impossible to get into - so I’m limited to where and how I move around when I’m all done up, but the crowd usually comes to me.”
</b></i></div>
<br />

<a href="Grisamore" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="550" data-original-width="1000" height="352" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicNngjQ3ebsHRPnVttTWYL098ZGpwl9NtwZawqWaCMMIP8UeKAye7apusrcUVT0PgIZMKk7PL7e8kwK7QxI09wXYWD2EqmJ2ZPHXYl2vZrm1uKbH2K9LC7G767J7C0SCv_MyGfug0Kwzeh/s640/Worlds+Tallest+Mohawk+-+Wild+Hog+Radio.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Joseph wanted to break this record back in 2007. However he was too afraid to shave the sides of his hair, which is required for the record attempt. Since he’s been known for having long hair most of his life, he thought this was the perfect record for him to have.<br />
<br />
After being inspired to try again, he needed to start from scratch due to his hair becoming too dreaded – so Joseph regrew his mane and actually managed to have it reach the length of four feet in just seven years! One of the most surprising elements to Joseph’s hair is that it actually does not require much maintenance.<br />
<br />
When he’s not wearing it in a record-breaking tower, Joseph keeps his hair braided and in two knots as to avoid sitting on it. During his time in quarantine, Joseph has been an essential worker at a healthcare facility in Minnesota and has tried to look for silver lining amid the global changes.<br />

<br />
<br />
One these includes becoming a Guinness World Records title holder and being featured in the 2021 book, a feat he is incredibly proud of. <i>“When I was first informed that I’d become a Guinness World Records title holder, I was over the top. Having a goal become a reality is always a thankful experience."</i><br />
<br />
<i>"I’m honored to be added to a list of one-of-a-kind record holders. My wife wants me to stay humble, but instead I’m considering becoming the ‘Mohawk King’, and attempting the tallest Mohawk spike title, which is how I’d begun my journey with record-breaking in 2007."

<br />
<br />
“Confusion Wheel” was written by Petty in 1994 and has remained on the shelf ever since. The tune begins with the late rocker singing over a jangly acoustic guitar part. From there, the song slowly expands, as drums, vocal harmonies and electric guitar add extra layers to the poignant track.
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Lyrically, Petty explores internal fears, searching for safety in a chaotic existence. “So much confusion has entered my life / So much confusion has torn me apart / So much confusion has made me afraid / And I don’t know how to love / And I don’t know who to trust / And I don’t know what I did,” he sings on the song’s chorus. Still, Petty tries to maintain a positive outlook, noting that “One of these days we’ll drive away / Drive away singing a brand-new song / We’ll wake up singing a brand-new song.”
<br />

The fatality rate of the new coronavirus is believed to about 1 percent. "It's about ten times more lethal than the seasonal flu," Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institutes Of Allergy And Infectious Disease, said in congressional testimony on March 11.
<br />
<br />
So far, COVID-19 has killed around 12,700 people worldwide and around 285 in the U.S.
<br />
<br />
U.S. officials have repeatedly urged Americans to heed what federal, state and local officials are asking of them in order to curtail the spread and dampen the impact of the virus on the population.
<br />
<br />
California recently estimated that more than half of the state — 25.5 million people — will get the new coronavirus over the next eight weeks.
<br />
<br />
The Centers For Disease Control And Prevention (CDC) put its worst-case scenario at 1.7 million COVID-19 deaths in America.

<br />
<br />
Powered by Artimus Pyle’s first-hand recollections of the crash, the film focuses on the hours leading up to the crash in the rented plane, and the aftermath.

The film premiered at 7.30 pm on Sunday 16th February at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival before hitting select cinemas Stateside this spring.
<br />
<br />
Artimus Pyle says of ‘Street Survivors: The True Story Of The Lynyrd Skynyrd Plane Crash’: <i>"This film's story — MY story — is not just about the plane crash but also about my personal relationship with the genius that was Ronnie Van Zant — whom I loved like a brother and still miss to this day."

Named after Lynyrd Skynyrd’s 1977 album of the same name, ‘Street Survivors…’ is directed by Jared Cohn and features Cleopatra Records founder Brian Perera on production duties.
<br />
<br />
The cast includes Ian Shultis as Artimus Pyle, Taylor Clift as RonnieVan Zant, Samuel Kay Forrest as Steve Gaines, Rich Dally III as Allen Collins, Hudson Long as Billy Powell and Nick Cairo as Leon Wilkeson. Neill Byrnes and Anthony Rocco Bovo play Aerosmith rockers Steven Tyler and Joe Perry.
<br />
<br />
Principle photography on the film began in April 2017 in Los Angeles, however in August of that year, sole original member Gary Rossington and heirs of Van Zant and Gaines successfully won a court injunction to halt production of the film.

<br />
The judge decided that the film violated a “blood oath” consent order Pyle signed with his band mates in 1988, that allegedly gave individual band members permission to tell their own life stories but not exploit the Lynyrd Skynyrd name after the crash.
<br />
<br />
However, in October 2018 the Second U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan, New York overturned the permanent injunction and Cleopatra Records Inc. were free to distribute the film.
<br />
<br />
<i>“That crash is part of the history’ of the band, but it is also an ‘experience’ of Pyle with the band, likely his most important experience,”</i> the ruling read.
<br />
<br />
<i>“Provisions of a consent decree that both prohibit a movie about such a history and also permit a movie about such an experience are sufficiently inconsistent, or at least insufficiently specific, to support an injunction.”

<br />
<br />
Officials with Spurs Sports and Entertainment, which launched hard rock-focused RCR in 2013, said they were forced to decide its fate after struggling to land a 2020 headlining act. Organizers had already canceled in 2019 for similar reasons but had hoped to return this September.
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://www.wildhogradio.net/2020/02/River-City-Rockfest-Canceled.html" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="550" data-original-width="1000" height="352" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgTfyxnIR5MWfP3CUbPWVM83_0PaiPgWTN0ExU9JElMPZQlSBEj5cNhsMa5Azf8EoGsHAxul5HtUImpAH5zWZ2V6HUzLQN3YOUqeRsK8SexRp5ajMPiG8yHJzm6xT43lCj8BA57Ax4kFvm/s640/River+City+Rockfest2+-+Wild+Hog+Radio.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The number of top-drawing rock and metal acts has dwindled in recent years, said Casey Heverling, vice president at Spurs Sports and AT&T Center's general manager. What's more, those with big draws have hiked fees to make up for sagging music sales. Metallica, for example, now asks $10 million for a festival slot.
<br />
<br />
That left organizers the tough choice of raising ticket prices well above $60 — a longtime RCR hallmark — or cobbling together a subpar lineup.
<br />
<br />
"We had to decide whether we wanted to go away from our vision of presenting an affordable festival and turning it into something it was never intended to be," Heverling said. "Rockfest was an anomaly. To be a small, niche festival that ran for six years was a feat in itself."
<br />
<br />
Held on the grounds of the AT&T Center, RCR drew around 25,000 to 35,000 fans annually, including many from the Rio Grande Valley, West Texas and Northern Mexico. Headliners included Nine Inch Nails in 2018, Def Leppard in 2017 and Scorpions and Disturbed in 2016.
<br />
<br />
RCR's dissolution comes as festivals around the country face tough times. Last year, Woodstock 50 folded amid reports of late artist deposits and uncleared permits. Closer to home, Central Texas' Float Fest cancelled its 2019 installment after being denied a permit to use the San Marcos River.
<br />
<br />
<i>“It’s kind of like playing poker: You can be good at it, but in the end, if you don’t get the cards, you don’t get the cards,”</i> Austin promoter Graham Williams recently told the Current about the festival biz.
<br />
<br />
Heverling said RCR's demise doesn't diminish Spurs Sports & Entertainment's interest in hosting concerts at AT&T Center and sister venue Freeman Coliseum. It plans to heighten its focus on delivering a world-class experience for attendees and artists — both of which have rising expectations.
<br />
<br />
Indeed, San Antonio's growth and increased diversity are generating a live music boom the company's eager to build on. AT&T and Freeman hosted a dozen of last year's 20 top-drawing concert acts. That compares to just five in 2014.
<br />
<br />
As evidence that hard rock and metal will continue to be part of the mix, Heverling ticked off a list of concerts headed to its venues this year: Five Finger Death Punch, Deftones and Judas Priest.
<br />
<br />
<i>"The music business in San Antonio is growing like crazy right now," he said. "We've been part of that growth, and we want to remain on top of it."

The song "Vehicle" was a smash hit for Jim Peterik and one of his bands, The Ides of March.<br />
<br />
The Ides of March will be in the first class inducted into the new<a href="https://www.roadtorock.org/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> Illinois Rock & Roll Museum's Hall of Fame</a>, along with other musicians from the state including Cheap Trick, REO Speedwagon and blues artists Muddy Waters and Buddy Guy.

<br />
The museum is the brainchild of Ron Romero, who said the response so far from fans and musicians has been overwhelming. He's converting an old retail space in downtown Joliet into the museum. Romero has tons of memorabilia from photos to instruments donated by artists and supporters. The museum will also feature a tribute to the history of radio.<br />
<br />
Romero said Joliet will make a great home for the museum. "We're the fourth largest city in Illinois, it's easy to get to. It's kind of a big town atmosphere in a small package," Romero said. The first Hall of Fame includes legendary Chicago DJs Larry Lujack and Dick Biondi. At the ceremony in March, many of the inductees will be invited to perform.<br />

<br />
Jim Peterik, who won a Grammy with the band Survivor for the song "Eye of the Tiger," said the Illinois Hall of Fame is huge. "The biggest honor besides that is this induction," Peterik said. "We're so excited about it."<br />
<br />
The plan is to have the museum's first floor finished and open for business by the end of the year.
The second and third floors are expected to open in 2021, including the Hall of Fame exhibit.<br />

<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://www.wildhogradio.net/2020/02/prince-preforms-purple-rain-during.html" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="550" data-original-width="1000" height="352" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaTJAL309QWJVwkE5nZq_4RREXNKo9wgos8YV2E8384ZAuew9EXIWLPx_bJTEaSjOOmOasOXGXiPxLdWouowsrD1eZs39UcXEsJQtRhLbc9naCHF6U_hFawTMTmy4inNAdBXHl0FOxu3NI/s640/Prince+Halftime+Show+-+Wild+Hog+Radio.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
It had not rained during the Super Bowl in over 40-years, but when Prince took to the stage to showcase the Halftime Show, it was pouring. The rain and wind didn’t stop Prince from putting on one of the best Halftime Show’s in the history of the Super Bowl.
<br />
<br />
While the electrifying performance seemed effortless and even fitting in the rain — because, honestly, what’s cooler than “Purple Rain” in the rain? — Hayes revealed that it was extremely slippery to perform in the rain and that he and some of the other performers almost fell during the show.
<br />
<br />
<center>
<iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/7NN3gsSf-Ys" width="560"></iframe></center>
<br />
In fact, Hayes revealed that it was raining so hard that while the musical equipment worked during the show, the instruments wouldn’t turn on again after the performance.
<i>‘It was as though Prince ordered the rain’</i>.<br />
<br />
Prince’s incredible showmanship and talent shined through the rain and when he closed out his set playing ‘Purple Rain’, the moment could not have been any more perfect.
<br />
<br />
This was truly one of the best, true performances from an artist who was not looking to promote himself, but share his incredible talent with the entire world.<br />
<br />
Rest easy Prince. A city official updated news 5 earlier this week to say producers are working with city leaders to minimize the impact the movie shoot might have on local businesses.
<br />
<br />
They are learning that extras are needed for the movie, more specifically bikers and were told the bikers would receive $125/day if they bring their motorcycle to the shoot.

<br />
<br />
Because he was injured, Kramer was forced to recently “audition” for his own job of 50 years, and he apparently failed. So, Aerosmith plans to use a temporary replacement.
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Superior Court Mark Gildea denied Kramer’s request to order the band to let him participate in Friday’s MusiCares benefit honoring Aerosmith and on Sunday’s Grammy Awards when the band is expected to perform its 1986 hit “Walk This Way” with Run D.M.C.
<br />
<br />
<b>Kramer issued a statement late Wednesday:
</b><br />
<br />
<i>“Although I’m extremely disappointed by the Judge’s ruling today, I respect it. I knew filing a lawsuit was a bit of an uphill battle considering that the corporate documents don’t reference any process for a band member returning from an injury or illness. However, the band waited until Jan. 15 to tell me that they weren’t letting me play at the awards ceremonies this week. I can hold my head high knowing that I did the right thing.
</i><br />
<br />
<i>“The truth speaks for itself. Ever since I injured my foot last August and went through many hours of physical therapy to heal, not once did the band in its entirety offer to rehearse with me. That is a fact. I was also sent the full rehearsal schedule on Jan. 18 and flew to LA the next day to rehearse and have many texts and emails stating the band can’t wait for my return…. When I showed up to rehearse, I was greeted by two security guards who prohibited me from entering.”
</i><br />
<br />
When Kramer injured his shoulder last year, his drum tech filled in for a few gigs during Aerosmith’s residency in Las Vegas in April. Kramer did, however, perform in July at the Twin Cities Summer Jam in Shakopee.

On Tuesday, the other four members of Aerosmith – Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford – issued a statement, that said, in part:
<br />
<br />
<i>"Joey Kramer is our brother; his well-being is of paramount importance to us. However, he has not been emotionally and physically able to perform with the band, by his own admission, for the last 6 months. We have missed him and have encouraged him to rejoin us to play many times but apparently he has not felt ready to do so…. No cause of death has been released yet.

<br />
Darrow was born in South Dakota in 1944, but grew up in the Southern California suburb of Claremont, where he first honed an interest in folk and bluegrass music. He formed the Dry City Scat Band in 1964 while pursuing college and graduate school, and during this time became acquainted with Chris Hillman of classic rock legends the Byrds, who had a profound influence on his transition from bluegrass to rock music.

<br />
Darrow went on to form the genre-bending rock band Kaleidoscope, recording several albums before his joining influential country-rockers the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in 1967. He worked with the band on two albums, and also appeared in the Clint Eastwood musical, Paint Your Wagon.<br />
<br />
In1969, he formed the Corvettes, which became the touring band for Linda Ronstadt, who herself was quickly exploding as an influential artist in the country-rock scene.
<br />
<br />
Darrow also had a prolific solo career, releasing a total of 10 records between 1972 and 2006. He worked with such notable artists as Leonard Cohen and James Taylor, and mentored younger singer-songwriter and fellow Southern Californian Ben Harper.

<br />
<br />
The statement said Peart died in Santa Monica, Calif., from brain cancer, “from which he suffered” for three and a half years. Born in Hamilton, Peart joined Rush in 1974, after the band’s first album, replacing original drummer John Rutsey.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://www.wildhogradio.net/2020/01/rush-drummer-neil-peart-dies-at-67.html" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="550" data-original-width="1000" height="352" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiteLNuyKshaWajRhAVABtJFGrpqk0UoXTmySzQ1zOoz_1uu8vtrQoj6OCnJqjwCCjMEiGmaGTwLZcr6Lw4ro-qpZ1RnDKiWg07YhR3ZFc9uCIXmepCWdvNh3I1U73yGQAdndt6HpYaVkX/s640/Neil+Peart+-+Wild+Hog+Radio.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Over a career that spanned four decades, Rush enjoyed considerable success in both the U.S. and Canada. Several of their albums — “2112,’’ “Moving Pictures,’’ “All the World’s a Stage’’ and “Exit ... Stage Left’’ — have sold more than one million copies each in the U.S. alone.
<br />
<br />
Peart was known for his proficiency at playing an almost impossibly elaborate drum kit, which in addition to the traditional kick, snare, and tom drums could at any given time also include bells, chimes, symbols, gongs and electronic elements.
<br />
<br />
<center>
<iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/wrhnhXHVSQg" width="560"></iframe></center>
<br />
“Neil Peart was, in fact, one of the greatest drummers the universe has ever seen. He ranks up there with all the best,” said Alan Cross, a broadcaster and music historian. “We have lost one of the most important musicians this country has ever produced.”<br />
<br />
Cross said Peart used his diverse collection of percussion instruments in innovative ways that went far beyond merely keeping the beat.
<br />
<br />
There could be a “very melodic sense of what he was doing, every bit as much as a guitar player,” Cross said. “Nobody sounded like him.”<br />
<br />
Knowing that a local band could make it big on the world stage was a major source of inspiration for musicians in the city, said Dave Bidini, a member of the Toronto band the Rheostatics, who grew up listening to Rush in the 1980s.
<br />
<br />
<center>
<iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/LWRMOJQDiLU" width="560"></iframe></center>
<br />
Bidini, who wrote the 2016 documentary about Rush called “Time Stands Still,” said a turning point for the band came in 1976, when they played Massey Hall for three straight nights.
<br />
<br />
“That was a big deal in Toronto musical culture, having a band from Toronto achieve that measure of success. There weren’t a lot really before them,” Bidini said.
<br />
<br />
Rush’s career was particularly impressive, he said, because it was proof bands could achieve commercial success while pursuing their own musical vision. The band’s songs were idiosyncratic, often containing key changes and running far longer than typical pop tunes made for the radio.
<br />
<br />
“I don’t know if it was fearlessness or stubbornness or whatever, but they were really good at being themselves,” Bidini said.
<br />
<br />
Although a member of one of the most famous bands Canada ever produced, Peart famously eschewed the spotlight. He was reluctant to indulge in the typical trappings of rock stardom and often avoided meet-and-greets with fans and interviews with the media.
<br />
<br />
“Even as a kid, I never wanted to be famous; I wanted to be good,” he told the Star in 2015, a few months before Rush embarked on its 40th-anniversary tour, which would be the band’s last.
<br />
<br />

<br />
An avid motorcyclist, while on the road with Rush, Peart would ride to shows on his motorcycle rather than travel with the rest of the band and its entourage.
<br />
<br />
His travels fuelled one of his passions outside of music — writing. He wrote seven non-fiction books and co-authored a science-fiction novelization of Rush’s 2012 album “Clockwork Angels.”
<br />
<br />
In his 2002 book “Ghost Rider: Travels on the Healing Road,” Peart recounted the motorcycle trip he took across North America to cope with the grief of losing both his daughter and wife in the span of 10 months.Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1854297686110229416.post-53164495023714839822019-12-04T21:29:00.000-08:002019-12-04T06:35:33.520-08:00Iconic Southern Rock recording studio is revivedAtlanta, Georgia, USA (December 4, 2019) WHR — The Georgia music studio that fused blues, country and other sounds into Southern rock is being reborn. Capricorn Sound Studios in Macon helped propel the Allman Brothers Band and other groups to stardom in the 1970s.<br />
<br />
Capricorn’s historic Studio A is reopening this week, after years of work by Mercer University and other supporters to restore and equip it with state-of-the-art technology.
<br />
<br />
“It’s a place that spawned a decade of remarkable creative activity,” Mercer President William Underwood said in an interview.
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://www.wildhogradio.net/2019/12/iconic-southern-rock-recording-studio.html" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="550" data-original-width="1000" height="352" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3qcd6TVygw74Rv-xYOOUKhO8s5c1OjXCYtDry7Pe8hUNmnNFnYBOYh6OEOFlCNj295aSVnVDtljdThYoPTancE9VN5nQDxBNXLSThwjsO4eDy5URMbUkzJ0Ek7lCtN95Skl73VS-t1cEz/s640/Capricorn+Sound+Studios1+-+Wild+Hog+Radio.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
It also helped make Macon one of the nation’s music capitals. Underwood hopes the renovated studio will help preserve Macon’s place among cities that forged the music history of the United States — places like Nashville and Memphis in Tennessee, Muscle Shoals in Alabama and Detroit, Chicago and New Orleans.
<br />
<br />
Macon’s civic leaders view Southern rock through a far different lens these days than in the 1970s.
<br />
<br />
Southern rockers and Southern Baptists traveled in different orbits back then. The Capricorn music scene — part of the drug-infused counterculture movement of the time — was not always welcome in conservative Middle Georgia.
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUiEfv4Hh4NGcZJb2Gx-6KHSX-tYgD79JH3CBnaI7Esb0ioSJpLPbkZDj0-xkTkpPEj85ML1JvPreBlJN6VAOkDSc8g3_yN2zRqbq_R6b0BxPz1O5F8G0VsSysyVfj8pllLnyRORV14xeI/s1600/Capricorn+Sound+Studios2+-+Wild+Hog+Radio.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="595" data-original-width="723" height="526" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUiEfv4Hh4NGcZJb2Gx-6KHSX-tYgD79JH3CBnaI7Esb0ioSJpLPbkZDj0-xkTkpPEj85ML1JvPreBlJN6VAOkDSc8g3_yN2zRqbq_R6b0BxPz1O5F8G0VsSysyVfj8pllLnyRORV14xeI/s640/Capricorn+Sound+Studios2+-+Wild+Hog+Radio.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Now, Capricorn and Southern rock are officially sanctioned by today’s leaders, many of whom were fans in their younger days. Underwood, for instance, grew up listening to Southern rock and considers The Allman Brothers Band “the greatest jam band ever.”
<br />
<br />
In planning the new music complex, Underwood and others visited music hubs including Nashville, where Elvis Presley and others recorded their hits in RCA’s Studio B.
<br />
<br />
“There are people all over the world who travel to see these restored studios,” said Larry Brumley, a senior vice president at Mercer.
<br />
<br />
Macon-area officials hope the restoration — funded with help from two charitable foundations and other private donors — will help spur downtown redevelopment.
<br />
<br />

<br />
The restored Macon studio is part of Mercer Music at Capricorn, a 20,000-square-foot (1,860-square-meter) complex that will include a museum. Among its goals: To train and inspire new musicians. To that end, the Capricorn Music Incubator will provide 12 rehearsal rooms for musicians to hone their craft.
<br />
<br />
The idea is “to be a place to bring talented, creative people together and have them interact and engage with one another,” Underwood said.
<br />
<br />
“One day hopefully the next Otis Redding will come out of that incubator,” he said.
<br />
<br />
Redding’s voice became emblematic of Macon music six decades ago, after Mercer University student Phil Walden discovered his vocal talents while booking local bands for fraternity parties.
<br />
<br />
In 1969, Capricorn Records was formed by Walden and others, including Frank Fenton and producer Jerry Wexler of Atlantic Records.
<br />
<br />
“My father loved the South, he loved Georgia and he especially loved Macon,” Phil Walden’s daughter, Amantha, said at Tuesday’s dedication ceremony. “He loved Southern music deep inside his soul.”
<br />
<br />
“My father’s life mission was to show the world what the South was capable of, and today we are here to celebrate a chapter of that mission,” she added.
<br />
<br />
Walden, his brother Alan Walden and their business partners discovered new artists who went on to create what became Southern rock.
<br />
<br />
The Charlie Daniels Band, the Marshall Tucker Band, Elvin Bishop, Wet Willie and others recorded songs inside the studio that was built for the Capricorn record label.
<br />
<br />
The Allman Brothers Band became so popular that they helped a former Georgia governor named Jimmy Carter win the 1976 presidential election by performing at campaign events, Carter has said. Carter told Mercer graduates at their 2016 commencement that he might not have been elected if the band hadn’t “adopted” him.
<br />
<br />
“Gregg Allman was better known than I was at that time,” Carter said in 2017. “The band got the campaign political attention and raised much needed funds.” When Underwood became Mercer’s president, the vacant offices that once housed Capricorn were a shambles, with one exception.<br />
<br />
“The studio itself — that magical place where this great music was made — was still intact,” Underwood recalled. “It was kind of a miracle.”
<br />
<br />
A second venue, Studio B, will be used for larger-scale recordings and to host concerts and other special events. Film scores could be recorded there, tying into Georgia’s booming movie industry, Underwood said.
<br />
<br />
The studio will also feature a custom-built, 40-channel analog sound board that was created by the Maryland-based company API, he said.
<br />
<br />
Wes Griffith, who now manages the newly restored studio, recalls the first time he stepped inside.
<br />
<br />
“I was in awe, standing there where all these great things happened, all this great music was made,” Griffith said. “It’s just a dream come true for me to be the steward of that place and share that history and start a new beginning.”

Known in the Biker world as Pulsating Paula, her photographs of New Jersey bikers in the 1980's and 1990's seeped with authenticity and fun. Paula once said, “Got married to my first lay in 1973. 10 years later he bought me a camera, a Canon AE1. I still have it."

<br />
She started taking photos of biker parties and tattoo events and she sent them into ‘Biker Lifestyle’ magazine who later Paisano publications took over. They came out with ‘Tattoo’ magazine first of it’s kind ever.
<br />
<br />
Between the Biker and Tattoo magazines she had thousands of photos published. The 10 minute set up of her photography studio consisted of 2 flood lights that burnt the shit out of any poor person in front of them, and a 6×9 foot black cloth she got from Kmart that was tacked onto a wall. She never considered herself professional, ever. She just loved doing it with every fiber in her body.
<br />
<br />
She knew the wonderful people she met by name and places she has been in her journey will live on forever in her photographs. many of us are so glad that we were there with you.
<br />
<br />
Pulsating Paula was on the East Coast documenting bikers from her point of view. What is so compelling about her photography is that her photos bleed honesty, passion and a high level of respect for her subjects.
<br />
<br />
I’m not sure if she knew she was capturing history, but she did. <br />
<br />
Before the show, the Englert had hummed with anticipation. A full theater of music lovers had turned out on a chilly November night to see the Nashville music group.
<br />

<br />
The King Band is a Southern rock, blues, and soul fusion band made up of six members. Singer and guitarist Aaron Lee Tasjan took the stage to warm up the crowd before the band came out. The artist’s music was described as “indie folk grit” by Broadwayworld’s in “Aaron Lee Tasjan to Play at the Rockwood Music Hall Stage, 7/6.”
<br />
<br />
After Tasjan and his band finished their 48-minute set, the swaggering guitar riffs came to an end. The crowd had already given a standing ovation before the headline act walked on stage, something rarely seen for openers.
<br />
<br />
Yet even more energy burst from the crowd once the King band walked on the purple- and blue-lit stage.
<br />
<br />
King stepped into the spotlight and began to sing Son House’s iconic song “Grinnin’ in Your Face.” The famous blues song features a sole singer paired with rhythmic clapping. Even with the bare instrumentals, the audience rose and began to scream in excitement.
<br />
<br />
The band’s sound is a mix of 1970s soul melded with Southern rock from the same era, with a blues twist. In the grorup’s performance, viewers could visualize silhouettes of past artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughan and Aretha Franklin as the band played.
<br />
<br />
<center>
<iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/IkSOEcg44oc" width="560"></iframe></center>
<br />
Though the group draws from past musicians for inspiration, the King Band achieves great nuance in both its musicality and attitude.
<br />
<br />
The way the band connected with the energy of the Englert was an example of how its sound is so complementary and adaptive, flowing in specific ways depending on the crowd.
<br />
<br />
The energy in the venue was both electric and bold. The crowd members shot to their feet, swaying and dancing as the frontman sang. “We’re one week away from Turkey Day,” King said early to the cheering crowd. “But I want to say how thankful I am for you guys tonight.”<br />
<br />
The band plays a sound from the past for today’s audiences, but with the nuance that only comes with time and a deep love for what came before. Its most recent album, Carolina Confessions, was featured often in the Iowa City set list. The band also featured some earlier songs from albums such as Due North.<br />
<br />
The most striking aspect of the stellar rock concert was the way King constructed free-flowing solos for his songs. The way the notes rang out from his guitar almost seemed as though he was having a conversation only he could understand.
<br />
<br />
After a concert filled with cheering, shredding guitar solos, and an insanely funky horn section, the King Band left the stage, leaving the ringing of songs from both the past and present for everyone in attendance.<br />

Sutter detailed his dismissal by FX CEO John Landgraf and Disney TV Studios and ABC Entertainment chairman Dana Walden in a letter sent to the cast and crew of the Sons of Anarchy spinoff, describing himself as an "abrasive dick."<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://www.wildhogradio.net/2019/10/kurt-sutter-fired-from-mayans-mc-show.html" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="863" data-original-width="1500" height="368" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihlIq063pvo9PNy7yL-rXR1ywV_0RBtDObCGqE8yZF6Ubi8r-AMUY1eJ9ZFv8LXuo-YbsGs6hL4n0ARJ3icnuuLmfXDkw8DQz-bt-Xe26OiSEAlcxF6Dg0Ipecg-gzR3ffUn7l5kzYoDo4/s640/Kurt+Sutter+-+Wild+Hog+Radio.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
In spite of Sutter's departure, the writer and exec producer's (who also delivered Bastard Executioner to the network in 2015) overall deal with 20th Century Fox TV has not been affected. Sutter renewed that pact in January 2018 and was the first producer to re-sign with 20th TV amid its impending sale to Disney. Sources note that the decision was made Wednesday and Sutter's memo was sent early Thursday.
<br />
<br />
Representatives for FX and 20th Century Fox TV declined comment. Representatives for Sutter did not respond to multiple requests for comment.
<br />
<br />
Sutter has been outspoken about his management style. In a September 2018 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Sutter shared that he has in his office a framed copy of a letter he received detailing his "unprofessional behavior" on Sons of Anarchy and with executives at Fox 21. (The letter detailed an incident where he told an exec that he'd "crawl the fuck out of my ass" during a discussion about keeping the biker drama on budget.)
<br />
<br />
"The reason why that letter was hung up in the first place and the reason why it's still there is not about like, 'Fuck you, I'm a bad ass.' It's about, 'I'm a fuckin' idiot and that behavior creates fucking lawsuits,'"<br />
<br />
At the time of the interview, Sutter was on the cusp of becoming a Disney employee. When asked about conversations with Landgraf and Walden, his reputation and how he might fit under the more cuddly Disney umbrella, the showrunner made it clear that he was aware of the impending culture shift.
<br />
<br />
"It was just a conversation about, 'This is the current climate. We don't suspect that you're going to sabotage anything, but we need to do the due diligence," he said at the time. "And at first it was disconcerting because I'm like, 'What does that mean? Does it mean there's a new watchdog on my shoulder?' And it didn't mean any of that. It was basically, 'We know who you are, we know what you can do, we have to make sure that when new entities come in that we can vouch for [you]. And at the very least we can say we have had this conversation.' Then there was, in a very politically delicate way, a 'Are there any skeletons in your closet that are gonna come back and bite us in the ass?' And I was like, 'Well, as far as I know, I didn't Weinstein anybody. I may have upset people, I may have said inappropriate things, but there was not [any of that].' But again, they needed to do the due diligence. And as Landgraf says, 'It's a different climate and you have to acknowledge it and be aware of it and move in step with it.'"
<br />
<br />
<center>
<iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ATE_YSFx7KI" width="560"></iframe></center>
<br />
Mayans, currently in the midst of airing its second season, was created by Sutter and Elgin James. A decision on a third season has not yet been determined, but Sutter had already announced that he would be ceding day-to-day showrunner duties to James in the event of its return.
<br />
<br />
<b>Here's Sutter's letter to cast:
</b><br />
<br />
<i>Dear Team Mayans,
</i><br />
<i><br /></i>
<i>Apparently, Disney HR and Business Affairs has conducted an investigation into the unacceptable conditions that have been created on the set of Mayans in season 2. As you know, I’ve removed myself quite a bit this season, allowing others to take a bigger role in producing the show. It appears that philosophy has backfired. It’s been reported by writers, producers, cast and crew that my absence and subsequent behavior when there, has only created confusion, chaos, hostility and is perceived as abandonment. Or at least that’s how Disney has interpreted it. I’m sure it’s true.
</i><br />
<i><br /></i>
<i>This morning I was fired by Dana Walden and John Landgraf for all the complaints levied against me. Not the way I wanted to end my 18 year relationship with FX. At least being fired for being an abrasive dick is on brand.
</i><br />
<i><br /></i>
<i>I deeply apologize if I’ve made people feel less than or unsupported. My intention was literally the opposite. But clearly I’ve not been paying attention. My arrogance and chronic distraction has created wreckage. Just know, I adore this cast and crew.
</i><br />
<i><br /></i>
<i>I’m not sure what the fate of Mayans MC holds. But if it continues, you’ll still be in good hands. As I said at the premier, Elgin is ready to take on the challenge of running the show. I’m sure FX will get him the support he needs to find and follow his vision.
</i><br />
<i><br /></i>
<i>For those of you who wanted me gone, you win! For those of you who didn’t, you win too. Although I will no longer be involved, I have no doubt the new team will move things forward with the same quality fans have come to expect.
</i><br />
<i><br /></i>
<i>Thank you for the honor of working with all of you.
</i><br />
<i><br /></i>
<i>I don’t need, nor want, replies or condolences. I know where the love is. And for those of you who have it, I’m sure our paths will cross again.
</i><br />
<i><br /></i>
<i>Best,
ks</i><br />

The Birthday Bash is a way to honor and celebrate Steve and Cassie’s lives.
<br />
<br />
<i>“I am just ecstatic about this. We have been trying for years to get Steve and Cassie recognized and for it to come to fruition is just amazing,”</i> said Debbie East, one of the founding members of the Ottawa County Musicians’ Tribute Committee. <i>“We formed the committee together and we all have equal roles — Bob Poole, Sammie Ketcher, myself and Jordan Boyd.”
</i><br />
<br />
The Miami High School band will kick off the music celebrating Steve Gaines’ birthday at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, followed at 3 p.m. with entertainment by “Oklahoma Alibi,” a Lynyrd Skynyrd and Steve and Cassie Gaines tribute band out of the Tulsa area.
<br />

Following that there will be a Lynyrd Skynyrd documentary shown at the Coleman Theatre and the possible introduction of some of the plane crash survivors from Mississippi and Florida.
<br />
<br />
The main event will be a band called the “I Knew You When” band at approximately 5 p.m. that is made up of former members of bands that played with Steve Gaines, including John Moss, Johnny Rose, Sam Ketcher, John Seeburg, Miles Jacobs, Annie Walser, Rusty Knight and special guests.
<br />
<br />
The emcee for the night will be Hank Rotten Jr., of Joplin, who was the headmaster of ceremonies at the famous Sturgis Festival in Sturgis, South Dakota, recently.
<br />
<br />
And, finally, there will be a celebratory birthday cake presentation and everyone at the Coleman will get a piece (while it lasts).
<br />
<br />
<i>“I was in bands with Steve; I didn’t play music; I ran the light shows, but we all feel like it’s great that the City of Miami is going to honor Steve on his 70th birthday. We are glad it’s going to be happening,”</i> Poole said.
<br />
<br />
<i>“People around Miami have been asking for a few years why we hadn’t been honoring Steve. So finally we have been able to do that. We got the street named for him last year, and we got him into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Oklahoma last year, and this year we are doing the 70th birthday celebration and having a big birthday cake for him on stage. We are just glad it’s happening. His time has come.”
</i><br />
<br />
While all of the events are free and open to the public, donations are welcomed and will benefit the new Steve and Cassie Gaines Memorial Scholarship, which will be awarded to deserving music students at NEO in the future.<br />

He was 79.
<br />
<br />
Fonda, the son of acting legend Henry Fonda, the younger brother of Jane Fonda and the father of Bridget Fonda, died Friday morning at his home in Los Angeles, according to his rep. The cause of death was respiratory failure due to lung cancer.

"In one of the saddest moments of our lives, we are not able to find the appropriate words to express the pain in our hearts. As we grieve, we ask that you respect our privacy," said his family rep on Friday afternoon. "And, while we mourn the loss of this sweet and gracious man, we also wish for all to celebrate his indomitable spirit and love of life."
<br />
<br />
The family statement concluded: "In honor of Peter, please raise a glass to freedom."
<br />
<br />
Fonda received an Academy Award nomination as a screenwriter for Easy Rider, which he shared with Dennis Hopper and Terry Southern.
<br />
<br />
Fonda and Hopper dreamed up the idea of two motorcyclists who hit it big with a drug deal and take off across the country, ostensibly to attend Mardi Gras. Their trek was "in search of America," emblematic of the '60s zeitgeist of rebellion and drug experimentation. Featuring Jack Nicholson as their alcoholic, back rider/lawyer, the film was a low-budget, colossal hit.
<br />
<br />
Fonda produced Easy Rider for about $384,00, with Columbia Pictures picking up distribution rights. "I made Easy Rider for the same amount of money Roger Corman made Wild Angels, and [I knew] it would knock the audience's socks off," Fonda told The Hollywood Reporter in July for a feature on the 50th anniversary of the classic.

<br />
Shot in roughly seven weeks between L.A. and New Orleans, it introduced the studios to the bright, educated youth market, and Fonda paved the way for independent filmmakers. For the cataclysmic year of 1969, Easy Rider was a road movie that accomplished cinematically what Jack Kerouac's On the Road did for literature. It won a standing ovation at Cannes and the festival's best director award.
<br />
<br />
To a generation of young people, Fonda was "Captain America" and a poster-boy for the age. With his cool shades, leather jacket with the flag stitched on back, he sat perched atop a chrome-laden, high-handle-bar cycle, and the poster for the film was ubiquitous in college dorms in 1969 and the early '70s.
<br />
<br />
As a symbol for rebellious youth, Fonda, along with Mick Jagger, Jimi Hendrix, Muhammad Ali and John Lennon, were among the most revered of countercultural poster boys.
<br />
<br />
Nearly 30 years after Easy Rider, Fonda's performance in Ulee's Gold (1997) as a beekeeper and sullen Vietnam War veteran whose family had nearly fallen apart earned him a best actor Oscar nom.
<br />
<br />
Fonda followed up Easy Rider by starring and directing The Hired Hand (1971), a feminist Western that his Pando Company made for Universal. He then helmed Idaho Transfer (1973), a message film about the environment.
<br />

<br />
He directed and starred opposite Brooke Shields in Wanda Nevada (1979), which featured a cameo by his father.
<br />
<br />
For a period after Easy Rider, Fonda lived on an 82-foot sailboat, essentially having dropped out. "I was writing during that period, and I got about as much writing done as a child in a sandbox," he told the Los Angeles Times in 1984.
<br />
<br />
In the early '80s, Fonda appeared in a humdrum batch of projects: He played as charismatic cult leader in Split Image (1982), a freewheeling adventurer in Dance of the Dwarfs (1983) and a suicidal father in the 1985 NBC movie A Reason to Live.
<br />
<br />
His other acting stints were uneven, from the lowbrow The Cannonball Run (1981) to a German impressionistic film, Peppermint Freiden (1983).
<br />
<br />
He also starred in Thomas McGuane's 92 in the Shade (1975), where he met Portia Rebecca Crockett; then the wife of the writer-director, she divorced him that year and quickly married Fonda. McGuane went on to marry actress Margot Kidder, who also was in the movie.
<br />
<br />
Rebecca convinced Fonda to move to Livingston, Mont., where they settled into a community at times populated by Jeff Bridges, Sam Peckinpah and other artistic off-roaders.
<br />
<br />
In the years before Ulee's Gold, he had become a cinematic recluse, living in Livingston, where he had two ranches and 300 acres and rejoiced in the solitude. "Most people can't hang in with me," he said in a 1997 interview. "I have a tendency to go tangential."
<br />
<br />
Peter Fonda was born in New York City on Feb. 23, 1939. As a child, he attended a number of boarding schools in the Northeast. When at home, he and Jane spent most of their time with their maternal grandmother.
<br />
<br />
In 1950, his mother, Frances, committed suicide on her 42nd birthday; Jane and Peter were told she died of a heart attack.
<br />
<br />
Throughout his adult life, he openly referred to an uneasy relationship with his dad, who died in August 1982.
<br />
<br />
His father remarried Susan Blanchard, the stepdaughter of Oscar Hammerstein II, but she left him after five years of marriage. Subsequently, Peter was sent to live with relatives in Nebraska. He enrolled at the University of Omaha but quit school during his third year and became an apprentice at the Cecilwood Theatre in Fishkill, New York.
<br />
<br />
After a year in New York, Fonda made his Broadway debut, playing an Army private in Blood, Sweat and Stanley Poole. It was an auspicious turn: He received the Daniel Blum and the New York Drama Critics Award as the most promising young actor of 1961.
<br />
<br />
He was signed to a personal contract with producer Ross Hunter to produce and to act. It gave him the chance to leave Manhattan, which he loathed. "New Yorkers don't know what the people who live in Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska and Colorado know: the reality of this world, what it is made of, the reality of days, nights, weather, season, dirt, air, food, love."
<br />
<br />
Groomed to be the next Dean Jones, Fonda made his film debut opposite Sandra Dee in Tammy and the Doctor (1963). He followed up with The Victors (1963) and Lilith (1964), in which he played a suicidal mental patient. He then latched on with Roger Corman's low-budget enterprise and starred as biker Heavenly Blues in The Wild Angels (1966).
<br />
<br />
He followed that with another Corman opus, The Trip (1967), a paean to LSD that was written by Nicholson and featured Hopper playing a freaked-out character. The film was widely popular among college-age students and meshed with the counter-cultural mindset of the day.
<br />
<br />
Not content with cranking out cheapo motorcycle vehicles for Corman, the threesome decided to do "their own thing," in the parlance of the times, and that turned out to be Easy Rider.
<br />
<br />
Fonda also starred in such features as Dirty Mary Crazy Larry (1974) and Race With the Devil (1975) — where he starred with Warren Oates as two family men who take on a band of devil worshippers in Texas — and the Canadian horror film Spasms (1983).
<br />
<br />
In addition to his daughter Bridget, Fonda had a son Justin, by his first wife, Susan Brewer. With his second wife, Betty Crockett McGuane, the pair had a combined family, including her son Thomas McGuane.Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1854297686110229416.post-24234625873161384202019-07-17T20:07:00.000-07:002019-07-18T10:09:38.006-07:00Music SubmissionsBadlands of Indiana (July 17, 2019) WHR — Wild Hog Radio is on the hunt and we are looking for some local kick ass tunes. Hook us up with them and we will take a listen, if our DJ's like what they hear then maybe they will hear themselves on our radio station.<br />
<br />
We hand pick the artists and we’re always listening to new music. At Wild Hog Radio, we endeavor to support the music of Indie artists of the Midwest – those artists who write, record, and promote their own music independently of major record labels.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://www.wildhogradio.net/2019/01/music-submissions.html" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="583" data-original-width="1000" height="372" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqmaPF43w2EXSm2cTalReNT2MePgdzAvx_MoKJphJfef90rlWi2hkwJRnzPfZdyHTVbBurLYXpPuGTSbc5FjNygenic0-tyO2B4-TSe3Ml_v9QArkzme_99a0RqejVUWZLLn8bWBAps_cC/s640/Music-Submission-Wild-Hog-Radio1.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
We consider it a real honor to provide an online radio stream where the music and the life stories of Indie Artists can be heard locally and globally. To help us further that goal, we invite Indie artists to submit their music for possible play on our station. There are some criteria, and ultimately we will decide if your music fits our format and criteria closely enough to make it on the air.<br />
<br />
Please understand, though, that we do not judge your music and if you are not selected for airplay on Wild Hog Radio, it doesn’t mean we don’t like your music – we love all music! But we do have requirements we closely follow. We will bend and work with you as best we can to get you on the air if at all possible.<br />
<br />
<h3>
Here are the guidelines….</h3>
<div>
<br /></div>
<i><b>The most important requirement is that all submissions be formatted correctly..</b></i><br />
<br />
+ MP3’s only! < No! ~ WMA, MP2, WAV, OGG, M4A, ACC><br />
<br />
+ Absolutely no hip-hop or rap. This is a Rock n' Roll Station with a mix of County and Oldies.<br />
<br />
+ Please name each audio file submitted as: “Artist Name – Song Title”.mp3<br />
<br />
+ Each song submitted is encoded in mp3 format at 128-kbps. Our station streams at a steady 128-kbps and does not require higher bitrates. Higher bitrates use valuable disk space.<br />
<br />
+ The song is a clean version, if possible. If the song contains vulgar language by FCC standards, then make sure to mark the song as “dirty” or “unedited.” Such songs may qualify for late-night programming.<br />
<br />
+ Fill out the ID3 tag on the mp3 (where you put the song name, artist name, album name, year, genre, album cover art, etc.). If you don’t know how to do this, please include the band name, album name, and track-listing for the songs. Also, include a high resolution .jpg or .png of the album cover artwork.<br />
<br />
+ Please include a short bio<br />
<br />
<i>*Please include a band bio and link to your website(s). By submitting music for consideration to Wild Hog Radio, and in exchange for publicity and promotion, you grant Wild Hog Radio royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual right and license throughout the world to broadcast and transmit your music on all Wild Hog Radio properties; including, but not limited to Wild Hog Radio and the <a href="http://www.wildhogradio.com/" target="_blank">WildHogRadio.com</a> internet radio station.*</i><br />
<br />
<i>**We are not obligated to place your music on our station. We are not obligated to return any correspondence. We reserve the right to reject any music not meeting our submission/editorial standards. If you feel that our submission guidelines are too stringent, you agree to not submit music to our station. You agree that you are a legally authorized representative of the band/artist’s music that you are submitting and that you have permission to submit music on behalf of the band/artist.**</i><br />
